Factoid: Quarterback rushing

Following up on the Kyler Murray story I posted a couple of days ago. Murray suggested he'd run less this season, in order to protect himself from injury. That could happen, but most likely he'll still be one of the league's better running quarterbacks. Two years into his career, he's been one of the very best in this regard from the past decade, even if he's no Cam Newton (pictured).  more »

Factoid: Tyrod Taylor

Mike Williams has a shoulder injury that's expected to sideline him for part (all?) of September. Often when a starting wideout is going to miss time, you take a look at the fill-in candidates, wondering if one of them will put up significant production. That's probably not going to happen for the Chargers.   more »

In Peter King's latest column, which is an interesting read primarily for its NFL Draft tidbits, he says he's been told that Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn is legitimately high on Tyrod Taylor as the team's starting quarterback. It's exactly what I'd want people to think if I was hoping to draft or trade up for a top prospect, but let's take him at his word for a moment.   more »
