Factoid: Big numbers for tight ends
In NFL history, only two tight ends have edged past 1,300 yards – Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham. With three weeks left, it looks like two tight ends are going to blow by those guys. more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term tight end rankings
With dynasty league rankings, the 2019 and 2020 seasons must be factored in – even more so now, with only six weeks left in the regular season. With tight ends, for example, I think it’s reasonable use a top-10 pick on Hunter Henry. He probably won’t even play this year, but he’s still got a great career ahead of him. more »
Factoid: Tight ends lighting it up
It’s been a great year for tight ends. Zach Ertz is on pace to set single-season records for catches and yards at the position, Eric Ebron is making a run at Rob Gronkowski’s touchdown record, and Travis Kelce isn’t far behind. more »

Dynasty Leagues: How much does Gronk have left
With Rob Gronkowski, the decision gets a lot harder in a dynasty format. Do you go for the tight end who’s one of the best right now? Or do you opt for a younger option, who isn’t as productive today but will have a much longer career? more »

Dynasty Leagues: Tight end rankings
I’ve been taking a stab at dynasty rankings on the weekends. Each weekend I take one position and rank them not for 2018, but if players could be protected indefinitely. I’ve done quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers the last three weeks, so I believe I’m down to tight ends. more »

Factoid: Ertz, Kelce among decade's greats
Rob Gronkowski has pretty much rewritten the record book for tight ends, a Hall of Famer if he never plays another snap. But while Travis Kelce and Zach Ertz are a step behind, they're having pretty awesome careers thus far, too. more »

Ertz clears concussion protocol
Philadelphia tight end ZACH ERTZ has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and returned to practice on Thursday. While head coach Doug Pederson had said previously that he wasn’t concerned about Ertz… More missing practice time, his return certainly puts him in line to play in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Ertz still in concussion protocol
Philadelphia tight end ZACH ERTZ remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol as Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams approaches. If Ertz is able to clear the protocol, head coach Doug… More Pederson said he was not concerned about a lack of practice time and that his veteran tight end would play. Fantasy owners have their fingers crossed. Less

Dynasty Leagues: Revised tight end rankings
With the dynasty rankings, I try to hit a position each weekend. I look at the key positions (QB-RB-WR-TE), see which one has gone the longest without being addressed, and post a revised list. Today: the tight ends. more »

Factoid: Zach Ertz on the rampage
Eagles host Washington tonight, and I like the odds of Zach Ertz doing something special. He’s developing into maybe the best tight end in the league. He’s really talented, and they use him a lot. more »

Fantasy News: Tight end rankings
I update the dynasty rankings from time to time. I circle between QB, RB, WR and TE, re-stacking the overall board. Of these groups, tight ends is by far my least favorite – definitely the hardest of the four. more »

Fantasy News: Fanex Draft
There is an advantage to picking first. I’m in the middle of a 20-round PPR draft, and I noticed (holding the 10th pick) that there weren’t any players there I was excited about. Those guys look pretty similar to what’s being chosen in the middle of the second round. more »
