Donovan McNabb says Ravens are souring on Ray Rice because he fumbles too much, but the numbers don't back that up.
Donovan McNabb the analyst isn't proving to be anywhere close to Donovan McNabb the quarterback.
McNabb's lastest claim is that the Ravens are souring on Ray Rice because he fumbles too much.
Specifically, he's quoted in the Baltimore Sun. “Ray Rice we know is a Pro Bowler that can make big plays for you, but he has a tendency of fumbling the ball entirely too much."
Uh ... WTF?
In this case, it's essentially the exact opposite. In the last three years, 27 running backs have handled the ball at least 500 times. Of that group, Rice has been the best at avoiding fumbles -- just one per every 352 touches.
