Megatron = mega numbers

Over 5,000 yards in three years

The Lions have signed Golden Tate. He’ll take the place of two other former Seahawks receivers, Nate Burleson and Kris Durham.

But I’m not sure that Detroit will give Tate jersey No. 81. They’ve already got a pretty good receiver wearing that number.

Calvin Johnson keeps piling up big numbers. Over the last three years, he’s averaged 22 more receiving yards per game than anybody else in the league.

He’s also the first guy to amass 5,000 yards in a three-year period – almost 300 yards ahead of everyone else over a three-year period.

By my count, only 32 receivers have managed to go for 4,000 over three years.
