NFL Injury Report

Chargers-Cardinals injuries

Andre Ellington and Antonio Gates both show up as questionable

The Cardinals and Chargers have submitted their injury reports for the final Monday night game. There are a couple of big names on there.

Most notably, Bruce Arians says he considers Andre Ellington (foot) to be a game-time decision. Ellington is questionable. He didn’t practice on Friday, but the Cardinals say he had a limited practice today.

In our opinion, this is likely gamesmanship. Jonathan Dwyer should be the starter there. Ellington ain’t playing. But handle it as you please.

Arizona also lists Larry Fitzgerald (knee) are probably. He’s fine. He practiced fully all week.

On the other side, Antonio Gates shows up as questionable with a hamstring injury. Gates apparently tweaked it a little at practice because he was fine on Thursday and Friday (not even mentioned on the report).

Gates is a low-end fantasy option anyway. Best to avoid him. If he’s truly out or limited, it would perhaps play into the hands of other guys seeing more balls – like Ladarius Green, Danny Woodhead and Malcom Floyd.

The other injury for San Diego is Keenan Allen (ribs). He’s probable. He practiced fully all three days, so he should be fine.
