MNF injury report

Colts, Eagles submit player injury listings

The two Monday night teams, Philadelphia and Indianapolis, have released their injury listings. Nothing too notable for either team.

Philadelphia Eagles

OUT: WR Josh Huff (shoulder) and T Matt Tobin (ankle).

Huff returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the preseason, but we don’t consider him to be anything other than an average returner at this point. And he’s not a factor as a wide receiver.

PROBABLE: Chris Polk (hamstring), WR Brad Smith, CB Jaylen Watkins (hamstring).

Polk missed most of the preseason with a hamstring injury. His value is as a maybe handcuff. If LeSean McCoy gets hurt (or if the NFL implements suspensions for players who leave 20-cent tips) than Polk potentially could be heavily involved in their offense. But the Eagles also have Darren Sproles, who looks good in that system. Right now, or leaning is that Sproles would get more work than Polk if the Eagles were to be without McCoy for a game or two.

Indianapolis Colts

OUT: LB Jerrell Freeman (hamstring), G Joe Reitz (ankle).

Reitz is a lesser guard. He played in 14 games last year but started only three.

QUESTIONABLE: DT Josh Chapman (ankle), C Khaled Holmes (ankle), DT Arthur Jones (shoulder).

Holmes was their 4th-round pick a year ago. They would like for him to start at center, but he sprained an ankle in August. He has never started a game as a pro. He appeared in three games last year as a backup.

PROBABLE: RB Ahmad Bradshaw (not injury related), S Sergio Brown (shoulder), CB Gregory Toler (rib), WR Reggie Wayne (not injury related).

Bradshaw and Wayne are veterans, and they just got some time off (most likely) on Thursday. Wayne didn’t practice at all, and Bradshaw put in a limited workout. But they’ve both been full participants the last two days. They’re fine.
