Are we getting to the point where these big games by quarterbacks have been too cheapened? It’s a lot easier putting up the yards and touchdowns than it was in the past.
For the third week in a row, a quarterback has thrown 6 TD passes in a game. Aaron Rodgers did it in the first half. The Packers apparently don’t covet records as much as some other teams, because they keep the offense cranked up to let him reach 8-9-10 in the second half.
But for the first time in a regular season, we’ve got three quarterbacks throwing 6 TDs in games.
Including Tom Brady’s playoff game against Denver, it’s now happened eight times in the last three years.
In the previous 40 years, it happened only 15 times.
Methinks we haven’t seen the last 6-TD game this season. I don’t know that we’ve even seen the last one this month.
