No big surprises from the early-morning NFL news. Most sites are reporting that Sammy Watkins (ankle) will be active for Buffalo, and Brandon Marshall (ankle, toe) will play for the Jets. That was to be expected. Also expected: T.Y. Hilton will likely miss Indianapolis' game against the Broncos.
With Watkins, there's the issue that his reps might be managed. The Buffalo News suggested that yesterday. With Marshall, he should be OK. He played through injury last week and caught 9 passes.
Hilton will apparently test his foot in pregame warmups, but he's being called a longshot to play. Given the matchup with Denver's elite defense, it doesn't seem worth the risk.
One more wide receiver note: DeSean Jackson should be active for Washington against the Patriots.
