The Rams are back in Los Angeles, and that makes sense. That franchise has drafted 22 players from one of the schools in that city – UCLA – and that’s the most that any team has tapped into any college program. Three more than any other combo.
Here’s my count, and I’ve double-checked to make sure that the names for Louisiana State (LSU) and Southern Cal (USC) are consistent to make sure those totals aren’t corrupted.
Bears and Notre Dame are in the No. 2 spot, on the verge of 20. Jets and Penn State share the No. 3 spot with the Raiders and Southern Cal.
Notice, by the way, that there is some local flavoring in these combos. That is, players are more likely to be chosen by the nearby NFL teams, which have had a better chance to watch them.
