Big off-field story in the NFL today. TMZ.com released a video of an incident involving Kansas City running back Kareem Hunt. The team sent Hunt home from its practice facility this afternoon, and it doesn't look good for his chances of playing in Week 13.
The actual incident occurred back in February. There was an altercation at a Cleveland hotel involving Hunt and a woman. Police were called to the scene, but no arrests were made. Kansas City and presumably the NFL were aware of it, but no action was taken. Now there's a video showing him shoving and kicking her, and as we've seen in the past, that kind of thing tends to prompt more action from the league than when it's simply accusations being made.
What comes next will be up to the team and the NFL. Hunt could potentially wind up on the commissioner's exempt list, or hit with a six-game suspension. His status for the rest of the season is in doubt.
Those in fantasy leagues with Hunt on their rosters should be making alternate lineup plans for this week. Spencer Ware (pictured) would draw the start, and he might be pretty much a full-time back, with Damien Williams the likely No. 2. When the Friday Rankings Update comes out in a few hours, you'll see exactly where those backs slot in the rankings. But Ware, obviously, should be on rosters in every fantasy league.
