Question
DeSean Jackson last week caught 8 passes for 154 yards against Washington. It was his first 100-yard game for Philadelphia in almost six years. He went for 195 yards in a game against Minnesota in December of 2013. (Jackson spent the 2014-2018 seasons playing for Washington and Tampa Bay). What wide receiver last pulled off this feat, but with an even longer spell between games? Said player’s games came just over six years apart, and in-between he started for two other teams in Super Bowls?
Answer
Tony Martin. He had a 110-yard game for Miami in 1993. Then he played for the Chargers and Falcons, losing Super Bowls with both of those franchises. Martin returned to Miami and went for 166 yards in a game against Indianapolis in October, 1999 – six years and six days after his last such game for the Dolphins.
