I don’t know if Jacoby Brissett is one of the 20 best quarterbacks in the league, but he’s sure doing a nice job of putting the ball in the end zone. The way he’s playing, he might make a run at 40 touchdown passes.

I give a lot of credit to Frank Reich. It seems like he’s the guy who’s drawing up the plays that are successfully working in the red zone. The touchdown passes (I think) are more a reflection of what the team is doing, rather than an indication that Jacoby Brissett is a lot better than guys like Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo.

When the Colts had Andrew Luck at quarterback last year, they threw 39 touchdowns, 2nd-most in the league. When the Eagles had Reich as their offensive coordinator in 2017, they threw a league-high 38 touchdowns.

In the last three years, four offenses have averaged over 2.3 TD passes per game, and Reich’s fingerprints are on all but one of those offenses.
