Darren Waller keeps cranking out big games. He had another one against the Dolphins on Saturday, making a couple of contested catches over smaller defensive backs. He’s a handful, and they work hard to get him the ball.
If you were walking into a dynasty draft today, it would be interesting to decide between Waller and the two other franchise-type tight ends. Travis Kelce is the best today (I think), but he’s 31. If you instead go with Waller, you’re getting a player who’s 3 years younger.
George Kittle is also part of this discussion, I think. He’s even younger than Waller. But he’s had some issues with staying healthy.
Here’s how I’ve got the tight ends listed right now. These are dynasty listings, with teams having the ability to keep players indefinitely. PPR scoring. Rookies tagged with black dots. The final column shows where I ranked the player when I last looked at this position four weeks ago.
I think the bigger upward mover this year is Logan Thomas, who looks like he's got staying power in Washington.
Last week: running backs.
New week: wide receivers.
