Former WR Matthews attempting comeback as TE

Former San Francisco wide receiver JORDAN MATTHEWS has bulked up and is learning how to play the tight end position for the 49ers. Matthews has spent parts of the last twoMore seasons with San Francisco as a wide receiver but is up 15 pounds this offseason and has been working out with teammate and established star tight end GEORGE KITTLE. 49ers TE Kittle could play vs. Cardinals

San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Tuesday that tight end GEORGE KITTLE has a chance to play in Saturday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Kittle was sidelined in WeekMore #8 after suffering a fracture in his foot that caused him to miss the 49ers last five games.
