Sports Business Journal’s Ben Fischer first reported that the National Football League will release its schedule for the 2024 regular season on May 15. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter re-shared the news via X (formerly Twitter).

Since 2021, NFL teams have been engaging in a 17-game regular season, a thrilling change that includes six games against division rivals at home and away. This year, the AFC East teams (Bills, Dolphins, Jets, Patriots) are set to face their AFC South counterparts (Colts, Jaguars, Texans, Titans), setting the stage for some intriguing matchups.

The AFC North (Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Steelers) will battle against the AFC West (Broncos, Chargers, Chiefs, Raiders), while the NFC East (Commanders, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants) will have schedules versus the NFC South (Buccaneers, Falcons, Panthers, Saints). The NFC North (Bears, Lions, Packers, Vikings) will have games against the NFC West (49ers, Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks).

Each team will also have four interconference games, with the AFC East facing the NFC West, the AFC North getting the NFC East, the AFC South against the NFC North, and the AFC West versus the NFC South.

The 17th game will be an interconference matchup based on their divisional ranking last season. The pairing is the AFC East and the NFC North, the AFC North and the NFC South, the AFC South and the NFC East, and the AFC West and the NFC West.

The schedule includes the Kickoff game on September 5, which the Kansas City Chiefs, the defending Super Bowl champions, will host. There will also be five international games, Christmas games, and Thanksgiving matches.
