The Tennessee Titans signed wide receiver Tyler Boyd to a one-year contract worth up to $4.5 million. This move will reunite the nine-year NFL veteran with Titans head coach Brian Callahan, who served as Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2023.

Boyd will join a receiving corps featuring DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley, who signed a four-year, $92 million deal to join Tennessee this offseason. The Titans also brought back Nick Westbrook on a one-year deal worth up to $2 million.

After becoming a two-time First Team All-ACC member for Pittsburgh, the Bengals selected Boyd in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft. He finished his rookie season with 603 yards and a touchdown in 16 games.

However, he significantly impacted the Bengals offense in 2018 and 2019 when he had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. He had 1,028 yards and seven touchdowns in 2018 and 1,046 yards and five touchdowns a year later.

Since Joe Burrow joined Cincinnati in 2020, Boyd has had 271 receptions for 3,098 yards and 16 touchdowns. Despite those solid numbers, he played under the shadow of fellow wideouts Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

Boyd will join a Titans team that ranked 29th in passing yards per game during the 2023 regular season. In addition to Ridley and Boyd, the Titans selected Jha'Quan Jackson in the sixth round of the 2024 draft.
