Aaron Rodgers solicited speculations when he mentioned during the 2024 American Century Championship that he is looking forward to playing with Davante Adams again. His words fueled rumors that a trade between the New York Jets and the Las Vegas Raiders might be in the works. However, Adams returned the favor during his recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast, saying that the feeling is mutual.
Adams said to Sharpe that being reunited with Rodgers would be exciting. After all, they were one of the more productive quarterback-receiver duos in the National Football League when they played together for the Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2021. Adams’ presence helped Rodgers win three of his four Most Valuable Player Awards. Conversely, Rodgers’ accuracy helped Adams become a three-time First-Team All-Pro member.

However, Adams also shared with Sharpe that helping the Raiders win is his focus for now. Davante Adams joined the Raiders after the Packers traded him during the 2022 offseason. While he still had 1,000-yard outputs in his two seasons in Las Vegas, the Raiders did not make the playoffs in both years. He will catch passes from whoever wins the starting quarterback role between Gardner Minshew II and Aidan O’Connell.
