Raiders WR Adams “good” after concussion evaluation

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said on Monday that star wide receiver DAVANTE ADAMS is “good” after being evaluated for a concussion following Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.More The Raiders were without #2 wideout JAKOBI MEYERS on Sunday because he is in the concussion protocol following a hit to the head in the season opener. McDaniels said on Monday that Meyers is progressing through the protocol, adding that the wideout was “headed in the right direction”. If all goes well this week, the Raiders hope to have both starting wideouts available for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Less



Raiders WR Adams evaluated for concussion

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver DAVANTE ADAMS was evaluated for a concussion after a hit he took to the side of the head late in the team’s loss to the BuffaloMore Bills on Sunday. Per NFL regulations, Adams was unavailable for comment after the game. Just last week, fellow wide receiver JAKOBI MEYERS suffered a concussion after taking a vicious hit. Las Vegas Raiders quarterback JIMMY GAROPPOLO practiced for the first time with his new team this week and immediately recognized that star wide receiver DAVANTE ADAMS is an elite talent. No wide receiver in the league has caught more than 40 percent of his team’s touchdown passes in the last two seasons. I think those are the only times in league history that’s occurred. But the go-to guys have bounced back this season, with a handful of players dominating their team’s opportunities around the end zone.   more »
