Last year, Samson Ebukam had a breakout season for the Indianapolis Colts, tallying career highs in tackles (57), forced fumbles (3), and sacks (9.5). Unfortunately, he won’t have an opportunity to sustain that momentum after a season-ending injury.
Ebukam will skip the 2024 NFL season after tearing his Achilles during Sunday practice with the Colts. His injury comes after Dallas Cowboys defensive end Sam Williams suffered a season-ending torn ACL and MCL on his left knee.

Last offseason, Ebukam signed a three-year contract to join the Colts. Before joining Indianapolis, he played two seasons for the San Francisco 49ers and four for the Los Angeles Rams, the team that selected him in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
As of the 2023 season, Ebukam has 269 combined tackles, 31.5 sacks, eight pass deflections, and three forced fumbles. Meanwhile, his absence could open up more playing time for Kwity Paye, Dayo Odeyingbo, and rookie Laiatu Latu.
