Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune reported that Minnesota Viking wide receiver Jordan Addison received two misdemeanor charges in Los Angeles County after getting arrested for suspected drunk driving. The alleged incident occurred on July 12 near Los Angeles International Airport.
In addition to falling asleep behind the wheel of the Rolls-Royce that figured in the accident, he was also over the .08 percent blood-alcohol limit in California. Addison will have an arraignment on October 7 to enter his plea. If proven guilty, the second-year receiver could face a jail sentence of up to six months and pay up to $2,000 in fines. Worst yet, his driver’s license could be suspended for up to six months.
The sentence will impact his availability for the Vikings and the NFL's suspension of the former USC standout. The league’s policy on substance abuse states that first-time offenders might face a three-game suspension.

This stems from his alleged DUI arrest. Will be very interesting to see how the NFL handles this.

While the July incident could be considered his first offense, it’s not the first time Addison has been involved in an automobile mishap. In July 2023, he was pulled over on Interstate 94 in Saint Paul, Minnesota for reckless driving. He was allegedly going 140 mph in a 55-mph zone.
After that incident, Addison showed promise in his rookie season with the Vikings. As the team’s primary receiver during Justin Jefferson’s absence, Addison finished with 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.
