The Kansas City Chiefs will sign wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster to a one-year deal for the 2024 NFL season. The wideout from USC played for the Chiefs in 2022, helping the squad win Super Bowl LVII over the Philadelphia Eagles.
His return means that Smith-Schuster can be a part of the Chiefs roster that could win a third consecutive Super Bowl title. He will be a massive factor in the Chiefs’ success if he can replicate the 933 receiving yards and three touchdowns he tallied in 2022.
Smith-Schuster started his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who selected him in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2018 after tallying 111 receptions for 1,426 yards and seven touchdowns. After five seasons in Pittsburgh, he signed a one-year deal worth up to $10.75 million with the Chiefs.

Sandwiched between his stints with Kansas City is his one year with the New England Patriots. Last year, Smith-Schuster signed a three-year, $33 million contract with the Patriots. However, the Patriots released him after he finished with 260 yards and a touchdown in 11 games.
Rejoining the Chiefs means he will catch balls from Patrick Mahomes again. He will line up with Rashee Rice, Marquise Brown, and Xavier Worthy.
