Lamar Jackson Extends Dominance Over NFC Teams After Ravens Defeat Cowboys

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens avoided a 0-3 start after earning a 2024 Week 3 road victory over the Dallas Cowboys 28-25. After losing their first two games by one possession, the Ravens finally entered the winning column while Jackson improved his record against NFC teams.

As the Fox Sports NFL account on X/Twitter pointed out, Jackson is now 21-1 against NFC teams. He did it by finishing with 182 passing yards, 87 rushing yards, and two touchdowns versus the Cowboys. The reigning NFL Most Valuable Player opened the scoring fray with a nine-yard touchdown run at the 9:36 mark of the first quarter.

He completed his lone touchdown pass in the second quarter by finding Rashod Bateman for a 13-yard score. Jackson missed only three passing attempts throughout the game and finished without an interception. Through three games, Jackson has 59 completions, 702 passing yards, 254 rushing yards, and four touchdowns (three rushing).

Meanwhile, the Ravens dominated on the ground as Derrick Henry punished the Cowboys with 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns. His first touchdown came in the first quarter, extending Baltimore’s lead to 14-3. Two quarters later, he crossed the goal line again to have the Ravens on top 28-6. The Cowboys could overcome that lead despite scoring 19 fourth-quarter points.

Jackson and the Ravens can improve their record to 2-2 by defeating the Buffalo Bills in their Sunday Night Football showdown at home on Sunday, September 29.
