New OC to rely on Titans RB Henry

New Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith said this week that he plans to feature a physical attack, adding that the team will rely heavily on running back DERRICK HENRY. Smith did not share his thoughts on a possible run-pass ratio, but he did promise to run the ball consistently.

Former teammate expects big things from Tennessee RB Henry

Former Tennessee running back DeMarco Murray thinks that DERRICK HENRY is ready to step up and be “the guy” in the Titans backfield in 2018. Murray and Henry shared the backfieldMore last season but Murray believes that Henry is ready to be the every-down back. Despite Murray’s beliefs, the Titans added free agent running back DION LEWIS in the offseason and he is likely to have a big role in the backfield along with Henry. Less

Tennessee offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur says that he sees running backs DERRICK HENRY and DION LEWIS as options 1A and 1B in the Titans backfield. Henry appears likely to serve onMore early downs and in short-yardage situations while Lewis is seen as more of a receiving threat out of the backfield. In a couple of experts drafts I've either run or participated in lately, the Dion Lewis-Derrick Henry question has been a tough one. In one I selected Lewis half a round after Henry. In the other, Lewis was drafted a round later, to the same owner. Some debate later as to which was the better pick.   more »
