Malik Nabers Sets NFL Record In Giants' TNF Loss To Cowboys

Wide receiver Malik Nabers has already proven that he belongs with the big boys four games into his National Football League career. The rookie’s exceptional play has earned respect from foes like All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett. However, the former LSU standout has just begun, and his exceptional Thursday Night Football performances against the Dallas Cowboys add to his legend.

Despite playing under the bright lights of Dallas’ AT&T Stadium, Nabers finished the game with 12 receptions for 115 yards. It’s the second 100-yard, ten-catch match of his career. More importantly, his performance against their NFC East rivals made him the first NFL player to have at least 25 receptions and three touchdowns in his first four games.

While Nabers has 35 receptions as of Week 4, he earned that distinction early in the second quarter. Meanwhile, Nabers had a touchdown catch in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders and two more a week later versus the Cleveland Browns.

Unfortunately, Nabers suffered a concussion when trying to catch a fourth-quarter pass from Daniel Jones. His face mask hit the ground, forcing him to lose control of the ball. That incomplete pass led to a turnover on downs for the Giants.

However, for some positive news, Nabers posted on Instagram that he was “all good” the morning after the TNF game. That’s good progress, considering he shared with Giants linebacker Brian Burns that he didn’t feel well after absorbing the impact.

With Nabers’ status in limbo, the Giants may play their Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks without him. However, without Nabers, pulling off an upset against the undefeated NFC West leaders might be impossible.
