The National Football League has announced a four-game suspension for Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. This suspension means the two-time Super Bowl champion can apply for reinstatement after the Bills’ Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
While the league did not specify the exact reason for his suspension, it could be connected to the domestic violence incident Miller got involved in. Court documents revealed that the All-Pro outside linebacker allegedly assaulted his pregnant girlfriend at their home in Dallas, Texas. Miller allegedly choked her girlfriend and pulled her hair as part of the incident.
Assaulting a pregnant woman is a third-degree felony in Texas. However, Miller’s partner did not file charges after the eight-time Pro Bowler turned himself into the authorities. With no solid case against him, the authorities released Miller on a $5,000 bond.

Meanwhile, it’s an unfortunate update for the Bills because Miller has enjoyed a resurgence early in the 2024 season. His three sacks and five tackles through four games helped the Bills earn a 3-1 start. With the suspension in place, he will miss three Bills road games, facing the Seahawks, the Texans, and the New York Jets. However, it remains to be seen if his suspension will dampen their winning hopes each week.
