Aaron Rodgers Joins Exclusive Group After Loss To Vikings

It’s not the kind of day Aaron Rodgers wanted. In addition to their loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London, he threw three interceptions, including the game-saving pick by Stephon Gilmore. However, the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player added another entry to his long list of achievements as a consolation.

The NFL’s official account on X/Twitter pointed out that Rodgers became the ninth quarterback in league history to accumulate 60,000 career passing yards. He reached that milestone by tallying 244 yards and two touchdowns against the Vikings.

While Rodgers and the New York Jets lost the game 23-17, they finished the match with a 17-6 run after the Vikings scored the first 17 points. When the Jets were mounting a comeback, Rodgers found Allen Lazard for a 14-yard touchdown and Garrett Wilson for a one-yard TD pass.

Unfortunately for the Jets, Gilmore completed the pick on a pass intended for Mike Williams. Likewise, the Jets could have sent the game to overtime if Andrew Van Ginkel didn’t complete an interception touchdown return.

As the Jets fall to 2-3, Rodgers joins Dan Marino, Matt Ryan, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger, and Brett Favre in the 60,000 passing yards list. Meanwhile, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady have the top three spots.

After their loss to Minnesota, Rodgers and the Jets can bounce back in Week 6 when they host their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills.
