Derrick Henry Achieves Personal Milestone In Ravens' Victory Over Bengals

With the overtime clock winding down, Derrick Henry made the most of the gap created by his blockers. However, a Cincinnati Bengals defensive player caught up with him when he was a few yards short of the end zone.

While the former NFL Offensive Player of the Year didn’t score the game-clinching points, his massive run established Justin Tucker’s winning field goal. However, that play gave Henry 92 rushing yards, enough for him to reach 10,000 career rushing yards.

Henry has 10,074 career rushing yards five games into the 2024 season. He achieved roughly 20 percent of those yards in 2020 when he became a member of the exclusive 2,000-yard club. The All-Pro running back has five 1,000-yard seasons and six years with double-digit touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Henry has a league-leading 572 rushing yards after five games this season. He has 36 more than second-place Jordan Mason and 137 more than third-place Saquon Barkley.

Speaking of touchdowns, Henry also achieved 100 career touchdowns in their 41-38 victory over the Bengals. His one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter opened up the scoring for both teams. His rushing plays also helped establish scoring opportunities for the Baltimore Ravens, including the receiving touchdowns by Rashod Bateman and Isaiah Likely.
