Broncos Found Their QB In Bo Nix

Before the 2024 NFL season started, oddsmakers predicted that the Denver Broncos would have five to six victories. They are within that number with seven games left in the regular season, and rookie quarterback Bo Nix is a significant reason for their success.

While Broncos head coach Sean Payton named him the starter from Week 1, Nix initially struggled to adjust to the NFL style of play. However, his confidence grew each week, giving Broncos fans hope for better days.

More importantly, Nix has the numbers to prove his progression. Among rookie quarterbacks, the former Oregon standout leads in touchdown passes (15), completions (206), and games played (10). He is also second in passing yards (1,968) and third in completion percentage (63.6).

Nix has also reduced his interceptions. After having four picks in his first two games, he only had two in the next eight games. His best game came against the Carolina Panthers, finishing with 28 completions for 284 yards and three touchdowns.

While Nix’s future looks bright, he has yet to lead the Broncos to victory against a team with a winning record. However, that’s part of his growing pains since he’s still in year one. But before looking ahead, Nix and the Broncos will face the 6-4 Atlanta Falcons in Week 11.
