Last season, the Los Angeles Rams made the playoffs after a 3-6 start. They won seven of their last eight games to clinch the final spot in the NFC playoffs. This year is the same story, different chapter because the Rams are making another late push for the postseason.
While the Rams scored only 12 points against the San Francisco 49ers, it was enough for a victory that improved their record to 8-6. Their defense limited their division rivals to six points, courtesy of two Jake Moody field goals.

From a 1-4 start, the Rams have won seven of their last nine games to go two games above .500. They have also won three straight games, putting them behind the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West race. Meanwhile, if the season ended today, the Rams would once again have the seventh seed in the NFC playoffs.
The Rams’ quest for another postseason appearance continues in Week 16 against the New York Jets. They will close the regular season with games against their division rivals, the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks.
