Netflix released viewership data for the two NFL games on Christmas Day. They claim that, according to Nielsen’s data, NFL Christmas Gameday reached 65 million viewers in the United States.
Meanwhile, the average viewership for the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers is 24.1 million. The Chiefs secured the top spot in the AFC by defeating the Steelers 29-10. It’s only the Chiefs’ third victory of the season by more than one possession. However, they’ve lost only once in 16 matches.

Chiefs-Steelers: 24.1 million

Conversely, the Baltimore Ravens versus Houston Texans game pulled an average viewership of 24.3 million. Like the Chiefs-Steelers game, this game also turned into a blowout as the Ravens limited the Texans to two points, courtesy of a safety by Kamari Lassiter on Derrick Henry. Meanwhile, the 31-2 rout gave Baltimore the advantage in the AFC North.
The halftime show featuring Beyonce, dubbed Beyonce Bowl, received an average of 27 million viewers. In other sports, the NBA’s Christmas Day games had an average viewership of 5.25 million per game. The Los Angeles Lakers-Golden State Warriors received the highest viewership at 7.76 million. However, those numbers are up by 84 percent from last year’s Christmas Day slate.
