It’s the same story, different chapter for the Los Angeles Rams after clinching a playoff berth for the second consecutive season. Last year, the Rams earned a Wild Card spot after starting the season at 3-6. Since then, they won seven of their last eight games to enter the postseason. Sadly, their journey ended in a loss to the Detroit Lions in the Wild Card Round.
The Rams fell to 1-4 this season after losing to the Green Bay Packers. Since then, they went 9-2, including their Week 17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Their only losses during that stretch were against the Miami Dolphins and the Philadelphia Eagles. They’ve defeated the Buffalo Bills in a high-scoring Week 14 encounter and the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8.

Overcoming losing records to reach the playoffs shows the resiliency of this Rams team that has won a Super Bowl under head coach Sean McVay. Therefore, they won’t be an easy out for the team they will host during the Wild Card Round.
However, the Rams' playoff opponents in the first round are still unknown. Based on the Week 18 outcomes, the Packers or the Washington Commanders could face face. Coincidentally, the Commanders’ Week 17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons eliminated the Seattle Seahawks from playoff contention, making the Rams division champions.
