The Philadelphia Eagles had a one-possession lead in the fourth quarter of their Divisional Round game against the Los Angeles Rams. Attempting a pass play could be risky, given the heavy downpour of snow at Lincoln Financial Field. Therefore, Saquon Barkley was their best chance to wrap up the game and he didn’t fail the squad.
Despite the chilly weather, Barkley completed a 78-yard touchdown run to put the Eagles up by 12 points, 27-15. It was his second touchdown run of over 60 yards against the NFC West champions, and he finished with 205 rushing yards. More importantly, his monster game led the Eagles to victory, sending them to the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders.

Earlier in the season, Barkley torched the Rams for a single-game franchise record 255 rushing yards, which is also Barkley’s career high. Through two playoff games, the All-Pro running back has 51 carries for 324 yards and two touchdowns. These performances have solidified Barkley’s grip on the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.
Barkley and the Eagles will face a Commanders team that allowed 151 rushing yards per game in their postseason victories over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Detroit Lions.
