Not only did Saquon Barkley help the Philadelphia Eagles win Super Bowl LIX in his first season with the squad. However, he did it in style by having a memorable season for the team that signed him as a free agent during the 2024 offseason.
While he only had 57 rushing yards during the big game, he collected enough to have the most rushing yards in a season (playoffs included) with 2,504. In addition to that number, he also finished with 353 receiving yards and 20 total touchdowns.
Barkley also became the ninth NFL player to have 2,000 rushing yards in the regular season. That accomplishment earned him a First-Team All-Pro selection and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. Likewise, he established the franchise single-game rushing record with 255 yards in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams. That total is also his career-high and first 200-yard rushing game.
Indeed, a year can make much difference, as proven by Barkley’s achievements with the Eagles. He has completed his career accomplishments while celebrating his 28th birthday.
