Max Muncy will be playing in his eighth season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Throughout that stint, he has been a two-time Major League Baseball All-Star and a two-time World Series Champion. The third baseman started the 2025 season on the right note, scoring a run in their second game against the Chicago Cubs.
However, his double at the top of the second innings made him only the fourth MLB player who had a hit in five countries and territories. Muncy joins Paul Goldschmidt, Xander Bogaerts, and Edgardo Alonzo after getting a hit on day two of the 2025 Tokyo Series.
Muncy’s hit brought catcher Will Smith to third base. Meanwhile, a passed ball by catcher Carson Kelly brought Smith across home plate, breaking the scoreless tie.

Through two games, Muncy had a run and a double in seven at-bats. He is slashing .143/.333/.286/.619 through nine plate appearances. More importantly, he and the Dodgers start the season at 2-0 before returning to the United States.
