Fox Sports NFL reporter Ben Arthur shared his five bold predictions for the 2025 NFL draft. These predictions could make the draft more exciting as fans hope their team could make the right choices. The 2025 NFL Draft will be from April 24 to 26 at Green Bay, Wisconsin.
First, Arthur believes that the Pittsburgh Steelers will trade up to the eighth spot to draft former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders is one of the top-ranked quarterback prospects and it solves the Steelers’ long-standing concern at the position.
Second, Arthur believes that four quarterbacks will hear their names called in the first round. In addition to Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, Louisville’s Tyler Shough, and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart will be among the first 32 picks.
Third, Arthur sees running back Ashton Jeanty going to the Jacksonville Jaguars with the fifth overall pick. Jeanty took the college football world by storm after tallying 2,601 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns for Boise State.
Fourth, he thinks that Ohio State’s Josh Simmons will be the first offensive lineman off the board, despite the non-contact knee injury that limited him to six games last season. Finally, Arthur wrote that four running backs will be taken in the first round. In addition to Jeanty, he sees North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton, Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson, and Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson as first-round picks.
