The Denver Broncos ended their playoff drought thanks to an offense led by quarterback Bo Nix and conceptualized by head coach Sean Payton. While they are on the upswing, their running game lagged, finishing 16th at 112.2 yards per game. The Broncos are trying to address that concern by welcoming RB prospects like Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson.
NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Broncos will welcome the 2023 First-Team All-Big Ten member. Henderson helped the Buckeyes win the CFP National Championship by tallying 144 carries for 1,016 yards and ten touchdowns. Henderson added 27 receptions for 284 yards and a touchdown.
The Broncos will be selecting 20th in the opening round of the 2025 draft, putting them in a good position to select Henderson. However, if he’s already off the board by then, Denver is lucky because of the deep talent pool at running back, including Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, Kaleb Johnson, and Henderson’s former teammate, Quinshon Judkins.
