As with tradition, it’s always the NFL Commissioner who calls out all NFL Draft first-round selections. However, after those first 32 picks, teams try to spice up their moment by enlisting the services of past or present players.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter shared the athletes who will represent the teams in announcing their picks. With Green Bay being the hosts, the hometown Packers will have seven former players revealing their selections. In addition to Pro Football Hall of Famers Dave Robinson and Jerry Kramer, Packers alumni Mason Crosby, Ahman Green, James Jones, Clay Matthews Jr., and Jordy Nelson will have their part in welcoming new Packers players.
Meanwhile, other Hall of Famers who will have a bit for their former teams are Joe Thomas (Cleveland Browns) and Lynn Swann (Pittsburgh Steelers). Likewise, current players Chuba Hubbard (Carolina Panthers), Terrion Arnold (Detroit Lions), Arik Armstead (Jacksonville Jaguars), Alec Ingold (Miami Dolphins), and Jonathan Taylor (Indianapolis Colts) will also take the stage. The New Orleans Saints’ Ryan Ramczyk appeared on the list as an active player but he recently announced his retirement.
