COVID impacts: COVID-risk players

Over 90 percent of NFL players are vaccinated, but almost 10 percent aren’t. And those players are more at risk of missing games in the regular season, given the COVID protocol system the league has put in place. Factoid: Losing vs. passing

I have heard the theory floated a few times over the last month that it can be a good thing to pick pass catchers from lesser teams. If a team is trailing often, the idea goes, it will be passing more, resulting in more catches, yards and touchdowns. It got me wondering if there’s any truth in the notion.  more »

I notice that teams are spreading the ball around more than they have in the past – especially in the red zone. The Bills, for example, might have been the worst culprits last year; despite putting up big passing numbers, they didn’t have any of the 38 players last year with at least 8 targets inside the 10 (instead, Buffalo had four players with 6-7 targets, and another 19 pass attempts going to other players).  more »

Vikings WR Thielen cleared to return from Covid-19 reserve list

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver ADAM THIELEN was cleared to return on Wednesday from the team’s Covid-19 reserve list after a positive test result on November 23rd. Thielen is expected to play in Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
