Around the NFL: Andy Dalton

We've talked (argued) some about how quickly Trey Lance might start in San Francisco, and some of the same questions can be posed regarding Justin Fields in Chicago. The Bears also have a veteran quarterback on the roster, but unlike with Jimmy Garoppolo, they just signed him a month ago -- he's not going to be traded or released.  more »

Factoid: Andy Dalton

I was surprised when the Bears signed Andy Dalton to a one-year contract. He looks like a decent placeholder quarterback, but not enough of an upgrade for a team that’s been dying at the position for years.   more »

Around the NFL: Andy Dalton

The Bears have signed Andy Dalton, and it's a move that even they don't seem particularly proud of. At the same time news of that signing came out, we got the story that they'd tried really hard to acquire Russell Wilson from Seattle. Instead, it's Dalton.   more »

Bears sign veteran QB Dalton to one-year deal

With rumors swirling about the possible addition of DESHAUN WATSON or RUSSELL WILSON in Chicago, reality settled in this week with the Bears signing veteran quarterback ANDY DALTON to a one-yearMore contract. Dalton is now expected to be the starting quarterback in Chicago, with NICK FOLES as the backup. Dalton, 33, has not started a full 16 games in a season since 2017 – meaning that fantasy owners could see Foles at some point if the trend continues. The addition of Dalton also seems to signal the end of the ill-fated MITCH TRUBISKY era in Chicago. Less
