The Minnesota Vikings re-signed running back ALEXANDER MATTISON on Wednesday to a two-year deal that could be worth as much as $8 million with incentives. Mattison has been a capable backupMore running back over the past four years behind fellow running back DALVIN COOK. Speaking of Cook, he carries a $14 million cap hit this season and there have been rumors that he may be on the trading block. Vikings hopeful for RB Cook to return vs. Packers

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said on Tuesday that he is hopeful running back DALVIN COOK will be available for Sunday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Cook wasMore placed on the Covid 19 Reserve list last Thursday so he could be activated Saturday if he follows the path of other unvaccinated players returning from the list.
