Browns TE Njoku hires new agent, asks for trade

Cleveland tight end DAVID NJOKU hired Drew Rosenhaus as his new agent, and Rosenhaus proceeded to ask the Browns to trade his new client before the start of training camp. TheMore Browns picked up the fifth-year option on Njoku in April, suggesting that the team is not likely planning to trade him. Njoku was a first-round pick in 2017, but the Browns signed free-agent tight end AUSTIN HOOPER in the offseason. With Hooper on board in Cleveland, Njoku’s role is likely to be limited. Less

Austin Hooper signed the big free agent deal with Cleveland, but I’m confident I won’t be selecting him in any leagues this year. I’m pretty sure I’ll be slotting him behind a number of tight ends who’ll be going later in drafts.  more »

Browns land free agent prize in TE Hooper

The Cleveland Browns agreed to a free agent deal with Atlanta Falcons tight end AUSTIN HOOPER on Monday. The deal will make the two-time Pro Bowl tight end the highest paidMore player at his position in the NFL. The Browns can make the deal official when the league year officially opens on Wednesday afternoon. Hooper will join fellow tight end DAVID NJOKU, who only played in four games last year because of a broken wrist and the fact that he fell out of favor with then head coach Freddie Kitchens. Less

Coach thinks TE Njoku will make big jump in second season

Cleveland head coach Hue Jackson expects tight end DAVID NJOKU to make a huge jump in his second season. Jackson said that Njoku is a very athletic tight end that can catch and run, adding that he will be one of the Browns playmakers this season.
