A tough week for the Baltimore Ravens. They lost their nickel back, Tavon Young, with a torn ACL, and Dennis Pitta dislocated his hip the following day. Neither will play in 2017 (Pitta almost certainly will never play again). They would have been better off, apparently, simply not having that OTA.  more »

Ravens TE Pitta suffers likely career-ending hip injury

Baltimore tight end DENNIS PITTA reinjured his right hip during OTA’s on Friday, possibly ending his career. Pitta actually dislocated the hip after stretching for a catch during practice and falling to the turf, unable to put weight on his leg as he tried to get up.

There's a report out from NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, saying the Ravens might move on from Dennis Pitta. He's coming off a career-high 86 receptions, but he due $5.5 million. At 32 years old, ancient for a tight end, he doesn't seem a great bet to stay healthy.   more »

Ravens TE Pitta finally finds end zone, twice

Baltimore tight end DENNIS PITTA had been scoreless through 11 games this season but he finally found the end zone on Sunday against Miami. Pitta actually scored 2 touchdowns against theMore Dolphins, much to the delight of his fantasy owners. Pitta’s quarterback, JOE FLACCO, also had a solid afternoon as he threw for 4 touchdowns in the game. Less
