The Las Vegas Raiders officially released veteran quarterback DEREK CARR this week. Carr is now a free agent and he can negotiate a deal with the team of his choosing. Around the NFL: Jets offense

The Jets are in need of a quarterback for 2023; that's no secret. They shambled through last season with Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco and Mike White doing the quarterbacking, and none of those guys will be next year's starter. What's a mystery is what they're doing in terms of coaching hires.   more »

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback DEREK CARR will not waive his no-trade clause and will not extend Wednesday’s deadline for more than $40 million in guarantees to kick in on his currentMore contract. Around the NFL: Derek Carr

Derek Carr and the Raiders will soon be parting ways, and it sounds like it will in fact be fairly soon. On February 15th a contract clause that guarantees Carr $40 million will kick in, so he needs to be traded or released before then. Since Carr has a no-trade clause, he can make the team release him rather than trade him, enabling him to choose where he wants to go.   more »

Raiders QB Carr looking forward to new team for 2023

Las Vegas quarterback DEREK CARR said on Thursday that he did not envision his Raiders career ending the way it did, adding that he looks forward “to a new city andMore a new team”. Carr was benched for the final two weeks of the regular season, although he still remains under contract with the Raiders. Raiders bench Carr, elevate Stidham to starting gig

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels announced on Wednesday that backup quarterback JARRETT STIDHAM will be elevated to the starting job for the team’s final two games of the 2022More regular season. The Raiders have apparently seen enough of DEREK CARR and plan to use the last couple games of the season to evaluate what they might have in Stidham. This will be the first career start for Stidham, who joined the Raiders through a trade from the New England Patriots where McDaniels was his offensive coordinator. Less

Factoid: Derek Carr

The Raiders on Sunday are hosting Houston. At first glance, that seems like a good situation for Derek Carr. The Texans have won only one game all year. But I’m not sure that he’ll get enough opportunities to air it out.   more »

Fantasy News: Derek Carr

Putting together the rankings for Week 1, Derek Carr came in a little lower than I was expecting. Nice player, and with good weapons around him, but I’m not confident he’ll put up numbers that move the needle.  more »
