Browns shuffle quarterback room

Thursday was an eventful day for the Cleveland Browns quarterback room. Just hours after head coach Kevin Stefanski said that quarterback JOSHUA DOBBS would be the backup signal caller, the BrownsMore traded him to the Arizona Cardinals. Around the NFL: Amari Cooper

I see where Deshaun Watson has had some good things to say about veteran wide receiver Amari Cooper. The Browns have a some talented players at the position (including Donovan Peoples-Jones and newcomer Elijah Moore), but Cooper is the clear No. 1. What he most needs is to show more of a rapport with Watson.   more »

Cleveland Browns running back NICK CHUBB is expected to remain a key part of the team’s offense heading into the upcoming season, although his role is expected to evolve slightly fromMore last year. The Browns are expected to have a more explosive passing game with veteran quarterback DESHAUN WATSON available from the start of the season this time around. Browns WR Moore turning heads in OTA’s

Cleveland Browns wide receiver ELIJAH MOORE has been turning heads thus far during camp, apparently excited for a new start after being traded by the New York Jets. Moore was theMore 34th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he found himself in the Jets doghouse after a strong start to his young career. Just 23 years of age, Moore has already developed a rapport with Browns quarterback DESHAUN WATSON, displaying incredible speed and shiftiness. Time will tell if Moore is able to help elevate the Browns receiving game his season, but he appears to be off to a strong start. Less

Factoid: Elijah Moore

The Browns didn't have any early draft picks, but they did bring an early-round talent in former Jet wideout Elijah Moore. Moore's time in New York looked finite when he complained about his role and wanted to be traded a year ago, plus the Jets had to clear room for Aaron Rodgers' various golfing buddies. Moore needed to go elsewhere.   more »
