Around the NFL: Philip Rivers

The Chargers are officially parting ways with Philip Rivers, whose passing records for the team will probably last quite a long time. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly interested (though they seem to be interested in virtually every quarterback not named Jameis Winston). Will Rivers be a good free agent catch?  more »

Chargers moving on from QB Rivers

The Los Angeles Chargers have reportedly decided that they will not be bringing quarterback PHILIP RIVERS back for the 2020 season. The 38-year-old Rivers still wants to play football, but he will likely spend his 17th NFL season with another franchise.

Around the NFL: QB carousel

We’ve still got one game to play (the biggest one) but beyond that, I can see that this is shaping up to be one of the more interesting offseasons for quarterbacks. There are a number of veteran quarterbacks who could be on the move.  more »

Chargers add Tyrod Taylor as backup QB

The Los Angeles Chargers signed quarterback TYROD TAYLOR on Wednesday as the backup to veteran starter PHILIP RIVERS. Considering that Rivers has not missed a start since taking over in 2006, Taylor is not likely to help fantasy teams any time soon.

Factoid: Philip Rivers

During the 2018 season, I got more complaints about Philip Rivers than any other player. Consistently, people thought I had him ranked too low.
