WR Watkins, RB Edwards-Helaire return to practice

Kansas City wide receiver SAMMY WATKINS (calf) and running back CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE (ankle/hip) returned to practice with the team on Wednesday, giving hope for their availability in Sunday’s AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills. Both players were inactive for last Sunday’s divisional round playoff win over the Cleveland Browns.

Kansas City WR Watkins gives Browns new bulletin board material

A week after Pittsburgh wide receiver JUJU SMITH-SCHUSTER unwisely provided material for the Cleveland Browns bulletin-board, Kansas City wideout SAMMY WATKINS appears to have done the same. Smith-Schuster riled up theMore Browns with his “Browns is the Browns” comment before the Steelers suffered a surprising loss against Cleveland last weekend. After the upset, a Kansas City fan commented on social media that they appear to have some competition against Cleveland. Watkins responded to the fan by saying “I wouldn’t go that far”, apparently dismissing the Browns as any sort of real competition this weekend. Less

Kansas City wide receiver SAMMY WATKINS hurt his hamstring in Sunday’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and is expected to be out “possibly a couple of weeks”. Kansas City WR Watkins in concussion protocol

Kansas City head coach Andy Reid said on Thursday that veteran wide receiver SAMMY WATKINS is in the NFL concussion protocol. Watkins took a shot to the head in last Sunday’sMore game, but he appeared fine immediately afterward. Unfortunately, Watkins later developed concussion symptoms and was placed in the protocol. Reid said that Watkins is also dealing with a neck issue. Kansas City plays against Baltimore on Monday night, so at least Watkins will get an extra day to heal. Less

Hill leaves practice early, Watkins missing too

Kansas City wide receiver TYREEK HILL left Thursday’s practice about midway through the session with an apparent leg injury. The team later said that Hill was dealing with a hamstring issue. Meanwhile, fellow wideout SAMMY WATKINS missed another practice as he continues to deal with a groin injury.
