New York Giants quarterback DANIEL JONES and running back SAQUON BARKLEY both started Thursday night’s preseason opener against the New England Patriots and played for about a quarter of action. Jones… More led the Giants to a field goal on the opening drive but was under pressure from the Patriots’ pass rush on his second and final drive. Heading into the upcoming season, New York Giants running back SAQUON BARKLEY is as healthy as he’s been entering an offseason since his rookie year. Also of note is that Barkley,… More at full health, has been deployed as a receiver throughout OTAs and in team drills. Barkley had 91 catches as a rookie but has barely been involved in the passing game since. Thus far, Barkley has lined up as both a slot and an outside receiver with another player in the backfield. The Giants host a mandatory minicamp this week and it will be interesting to monitor Barkley’s usage. Less
