Fournette to lead revamped backfield in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Jaguars had a forgettable running game in 2018, suffering a significant drop off from the season prior. Heading into the 2019 season, LEONARD FOURNETTE remains as the top runningMore back, but most everything else has changed. The Jaguars added veteran THOMAS RAWLS and rookie RYQUELL ARMSTEAD, while also finding a new running backs coach. Less

RB Rawls on the roster bubble

The New York Jets signed running back THOMAS RAWLS during the offseason but it now appears as though he is not a lock to make the roster. If your fantasy teamMore is looking for a New York Jets running back this season, BILAL POWELL and ISAIAH CROWELL are much better options. Less

Jets add RB Rawls to backfield mix

Around the NFL: Jets add Thomas Rawls

The Jets have signed Thomas Rawls to a three-year contract, and I like what they’re doing at the position – collecting a bunch of guys with some potential to contribute.   more »

Factoid: The struggles of Thomas Rawls

A couple of years ago, undrafted free agent Thomas Rawls was a great story for Seattle. Marshawn Lynch was breaking down and struggling, and Rawls came out of nowhere to have a great second half of the season for the Seahawks. Before getting hurt. But that was 2015, and it's now clear he's not a good running back.   more »

Lacy out, Rawls in for Seahawks

Seattle running back THOMAS RAWLS will once again lead the Seahawks backfield with teammate EDDIE LACY out of action due to an ankle injury. The Seahawks had announced a plan lastMore week to move away from an unsuccessful committee backfield, with Lacy expected to lead the way. It will be hard for fantasy owners to have much faith in Rawls and is 2.5 yards per carry average. Less

Lacy to lead Seahawks backfield vs. Washington

The Seattle Seahawks plan to feature running back EDDIE LACY in the backfield for Sunday’s game against Washington. Lacy has been part of an ineffective backfield committee along with teammate THOMASMore RAWLS. While the addition of offensive lineman DUANE BROWN should help, fantasy owners relying on the new Lacy strategy are taking a risk. Less

Around the NFL: Seahawks abandoning RBBC

Seattle’s running game has been pretty awful for most of the season. Eddie Lacy and Thomas Rawls on Sunday combined for 12 carries and minus-1 yard. For the season, Lacy is averaging 2.6 per attempt, while Rawls is down at 2.0. But there’s at least a flicker of hope there could be some viable production in the second half of the season.   more »

Rawls, Lacy to share Seahawks backfield

Seattle head coach Pete Carroll says that running backs THOMAS RAWLS and EDDIE LACY have equal status and that both will lead the Seahawks backfield moving forward. With C.J. PROSISE setMore to return from injury in a few weeks, he will likely move into the mix in a third-down role. From a fantasy standpoint, it seems like a case of too many cooks in the Seahawks kitchen. Lacy and Rawls expected to carry the load for Seahawks

With surprise rookie CHRIS CARSON out for the remainder of the season, the Seattle Seahawks will turn once again to running backs THOMAS RAWLS and EDDIE LACY. Both backs were expectedMore to have significant roles heading into the season, although neither has been a factor thus far. With the overall uncertainty around their usage, both backs are risky fantasy options at this point. Less
