Around the NFL: LeVeon Bell

I saw a blurb go by where LeVeon Bell says he’s looking to play. I find him to be an interesting prospect. We might all be looking back in late August and wondering why we didn’t have him among our top 50 running backs in June.   more »

Falcons sign free agent Patterson, cut RB Smith

The Atlanta Falcons signed kick returner CORDARRELLE PATTERSON on Thursday and the team is planning to have him play at the running back position. Patterson was drafted in 2013 as aMore wide receiver, but the versatile veteran has made his mark on special teams. Running back ITO SMITH finished last season atop the depth chart but was released by the Falcons on Thursday. Atlanta has not re-signed TODD GURLEY, last season’s starter, or backup BRIAN HILL. The Falcons did add MIKE DAVIS earlier this offseason from the Carolina Panthers, and he appears to be the likely starter heading into the 2021 season. Less

Factoid: Todd Gurley

I suppose I will have to concede defeat on Todd Gurley. He scored 9 TDs in his first nine games, so I think he’s outperformed where he was selected in drafts. At the same time, he’s been pretty dreadful.  more »

Fantasy News: Goal-line rushing data

Falcons RB Gurley scores 2 touchdowns, only meant to score 1

Atlanta Falcons running back TODD GURLEY scored 2 touchdowns in Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions, with the second score likely costing his team the game.
