49ers RB Wilson Jr. out after knee surgery

After an injury-plagued 2020 season, the San Francisco 49ers are off to a rough start for 2021. 49ers running back JEFF WILSON JR. underwent surgery this week on a torn meniscusMore that will sideline him for four-to-six months. Given the timetable, Wilson is likely to miss the first couple weeks of the regular season and could be a candidate to begin the year on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. If you were watching the NFL Draft last night, you might have been wondering where all the running backs were. It was a historically thin group, with a total of four selected by the end of Round 3. That was the fewest taken in the first three rounds since 2016, which itself was the lowest number ever. Disappointing for the key position in fantasy leagues.   more »
